Kendo - Japanese Sword
Demonstrations of kendo - Japanese sword martial art.
Kendo is a Japanese martial art that simulates samurai sword fighting.
The term literally means “way of the sword” (剣道). It is practiced with a bamboo sword called a shinai and protective armor (bogu) that covers the head, torso, hands and hips.
Kendo combines technique, mental discipline and fighting spirit, with the goal not only to overcome the opponent, but to perfect oneself through rigorous practice.
ASD Umi No Tsuyosa holds annual classes for children (ages 8-13), teens (ages 14-18) and adults in Rimini.
It will be possible to take a trial where the fundamentals of kendo will be explained, with equipment provided by our dojo, accompanied by our kendoka.
From 6 to 8 p.m. May 31, at Parco XXV aprile (Marecchia Park) in Rimini (follow the path from the Square on the Water to the inside of the park).
Free participation.
