On Friday, June 23, on Olympic Day, several Olympic athletes such as Pau Gasol, Federica Pellegrini and Yusra Mardini, will invite people to dedicate 30 minutes of their day to physical activity, regardless of where they are located.
According to recent research, one out of four adults and over 80% of young people do not perform the minimum dose of physical activity recommended, and often, this is due to a lack of time.
What often goes unnoticed, however, is that practicing at least 30 minutes of activity a day reduces the risk of running into different diseases such as heart disease, diabetes or stroke, as well as decrease the symptoms of anxiety and depression.
ANIF, National Association of Sports Facilities and Fitness, will be spokesperson of athletes’ invitation, so that people can get used to 30 min of physical activity in their daily calendar.
