SUPERFIGHTER FOR THE FIRST TIME AT RIMINIWELLNESS 2024

This year RW24 will host for the first time the quarters and semi-finals of Superfighter, a popular kick boxing tournament created and organized by Leone 1947, a historic brand and undisputed leader in Italy in the sale of articles for combat sports.

24 professional athletes divided into 3 weight categories (–60 kg, -65 kg and –70kg)  will compete in the ring of the Leone 1947 Arena  (hall hall pad. A5/C5) giving life to super exciting direct elimination matches filmed in live streaming.

The two finalists in each category will have access to Oktagon Tsunami, the most important fighting event to be held in Rome on Saturday 29 June, where they will fight to win their respective belts. And not only that... the winner, in addition to the prize, will be awarded a one-year sponsorship by Leone 1947 and the inclusion as a testimonial in the brand's communication.

How did the idea for Superfighter come about?

“As a commercial company and as a family we felt the need to venture into new challenges with the aim of making a further contribution to the combat sports movement. Superfighter was born from the desire to discover new emerging fighters capable, with their talent, of becoming the champions of tomorrow and, why not, also testimonials for our brand. To do this we opted for the unquestionable formula of the direct elimination tournament, choosing important partners such as Fight1 and the promoter Carlo di Blasi. Compared to other kick boxing events, our tournament has the peculiarity of ending with ONLY ONE WINNER, ONLY ONE SUPERFIGHTER! This is what makes it one of a kind and ultra spectacular."

Why Superfighter at RW24?

“Leone1947 and combat sports are now constant presences within the fitness fair and to celebrate 30 years of participation in the event we decided to offer all athletes a completely free show that fully reflects the style and values of the our company. There was then the need to give fans a further sign of recovery after the very difficult years in which the pandemic put the world of sport and events to the test but above all contact disciplines like ours. It will be an opportunity for everyone, adults and children, sportsmen and non-athletes, to attend an exciting show in which fighters who have chosen to transform their passion into a profession will compete without sparing themselves via live streaming. Tournament Schedule:

Thursday 30 May from 4.00 pm: Opening ceremony, weigh-in and match and athlete presentation.

Friday 31 May from 2.00 pm: 12 quarter-final matches.

Saturday 1 June from 4.00 pm: 6 semi-final matches.
